Our Heritage window range has been specifically designed for listed buildings and where conservation approval is required. Designs utilise single or slimline glazing options with lambs tongue profiling, suitable for the most architecturally sensitive projects.
Sliding Sash Spiral Balance
Historic look, modern design – The Heritage Sliding Sash Spiral Balance is a vertical sliding design, with a tensioned spring, providing a lifting mechanism to operate the window. This design enables the Sash window to retain all the features of a period style timber window whilst utilising the latest modern operation.
The Heritage Sliding Sash window with its classical flush line appearance has been specifically designed for listed buildings, Edwardian country estates, Victorian townhouses and where conservation approval is required.
The Heritage Sliding Sash is sympathetically designed to maximise glass areas and retain the properties historical internal features.
Exclusive Design Features
The period profile and option of single and slimline double glazing make the Heritage Spiral Balance Sliding Sash window ideal for the most architecturally sensitive of projects.
The double glazed siding sash design provides energy efficient period living, with slimline 14mm krypton filled glazing to suit listed properties where historically traditional double glazing has been rejected.
Weather Testing
The Bereco Heritage Spiral Balance design was tested to BS6375 and achieved the highest rating possible, combining a period window design with superior weather performance.
The Bereco Sliding Sash design achieved the highest classification achievable with a UK Exposure Category of 2000, 600pa (class 3) for Air permeability, 250pa water tightness and 0.8 air leakage.
Optional Design Features
For buildings where double glazing is not deemed appropriate the 4mm single glazed option offers the perfect solution. The Heritage Sliding Sash window is now available with deeper bottom rails on the lower sashes that can be increased from 66mm to 100mm if required by conservation.
A popular window specification chosen to retain the historical look of a listed property is a white colour paint finish, polished brass or antique black Ironmongery with Lambs tongue Georgian bars.

Sliding Sash Cords & Weights
The Heritage Sliding Sash Cords & Weights window is a vertical sliding sash, incorporating a traditional pulleys and weights lifting system. The Cords & Weights design utilises a heavy weight nylon cord on self-lubricating wheels to operate the window.
The Heritage Sliding Sash window with its classical flush line appearance has been specifically designed for listed and graded buildings where conservation approval is required.
The Heritage Sliding Sash is sympathetically designed to maximise glass areas and retain the properties historical internal features. Often in period buildings the need arises for a reduced frame width to fit behind reveals without projecting into rooms.
Exclusive Design Features
The Heritage window features the slimmest frame section available in high performance joinery, with a 140mm frame depth and glass line to daylight frame width of 47mm.
The Heritage Cords & Weights Sliding Sash window is ideal for the most architecturally sensitive of projects with the option of single or slimline double glazing.
The double glazed siding sash provides energy efficient period living, with slimline 14mm krypton filled glazing to suit listed properties where historically traditional double glazing has been rejected.
Weather Testing
The Heritage Cords & Weights Sliding Sash combines period aesthetics with outstanding weather ratings. The design was tested to BS6375, undertaken by independent body BM Trada and achieved exceptional results.
