Weather Testing

The Bereco Traditional Cords & Weights Sliding Sash design has been awarded the highest possible BS6375 classification for weather performance covering three key areas; air tightness, water tightness and wind resistance.

The Bereco Sliding Sash design achieved a UK Exposure Category of 2000, 600pa (class 3) for Air permeability, 250pa water tightness and 0.8 air leakage.

Optional Design Features

The 24mm glazing unit, proven to be the optimal thickness for thermal efficiency ensures a high performance, air tight window with the character and charm of the traditional timber sliding sash window.

The Angel lock is fitted on the Traditional Sliding Sash as standard to set the night vent position, restrict the lower sashes and provide an additional locking point for child safety.

The window design is specifically tailored to allow internal access to weights for maintenance and has an easy clean option, where the lower sash opens out to facilitate the easy cleaning of glazing. The Traditional Range Sliding Sash is also available triple glazed where required.

A popular window specification chosen to retain the traditional look of wooden Sliding Sash Windows is a white colour paint finish, polished brass Ironmongery with 16mm Georgian Lambs Tongue bars.
