South Lakes Windows Ltd are proud to announce that they are now an Ultraframe 'Ultra Installer'. This basically means that South Lakes Windows Ltd are now Ultraframe's preferred installer for the area for Conservatories and Orangeries. This ensures that customers are attaining the highest standards when having a conservatory built and installed.
In order for South Lakes Windows Ltd to acheive such a status we have had to be thoroughly assessed by an inspector from the BBA (British Board of Agrement), whereby we were assessed in key categories such as customer service, aftersales, quality of installation and products, compliance with the Consumer Code of Conduct, compliance with the GGF code of good practice and Building Regulations. In addition to this, 5 of our existing conservatory customers were randomly selected by the inspector and surveyed to see if we really lived up to our claims of customer service and satisfaction.
In order to pass the BBA inspection and become an 'Ultra Installer' we needed to acheive a score of at least 67 out of 100, however we passed with flying colours and actually scored 88 out of 100. Ross Kilmister, an Ultraframe Sales Executive, remarked that the score was unbelievable for a first time inspection and usually installers just about pass and then build on their scores over the coming years, and the score we had acheived was already as high as companies that had been in the scheme for years.
By using an 'Ultra Installer' it gives the consumer the peace of mind that they are having a Conservatory or Orangery installed to the highest specification, but also by a company that is ethical, professional and has the customer service to back up the installation.
In addition to the 'Ultra Installer' accreditation, we will now also be able to boast that we are 'BBA Approved' and that all aspects of our business meet the requirements under this Construction Associated Body. We will of course be displaying all of our certificates and accreditations on the website in the coming weeks.

In these current economic times when energy prices are soaring, it makes even more sense to consider installing the highest performing energy rated double glazing on the market. Here at South Lakes Windows Ltd we not only acheive an A+8 rating on all our uPVC casement windows as standard, but obtain an A Rating on all our timber casement windows, as well as all Sliding Sash windows. In order to acheive such ratings most companies have to sacrifice the re-inforcing within the frame, however at South Lakes Windows Ltd we have managed to acheive all the ratings, whilst still incorporating the necessary re-inforcing with the frames and therefore not jeopardising strength and security.

We have now received our brand new Energy Rating Certificates, which, yet again, show our even further improved Energy Rating of A + 8. This is currently the best energy rating on the market for a uPVC frame combined with a double glazed unit.

South Lakes Windows Ltd are proud to announce that they are now accredited members of the DGCOS (Double Glazing & Conservatory Ombudsman Scheme). In order to be accepted into the scheme we have had to be assessed in key areas such as Customer Satisfaction, Quality of Workmanship, Company Ethics, Service and Aftersales, and we passed every level required with flying colours.
As a FENSA certified company there is a requirement to give the customer an insurance backed guarantee, however we have noticed that many of these guarantees are not worth the paper they are written on. The DGCOS on the other hand gives all of our customers complete peace of mind as they qualify for Deposit Protection Insurance, Work in Progress Insurance, an additonal 10 year guarantee that mirrors the South Lakes Windows Ltd guarantee (of which we cover all frames, colour, glass and moving parts), FREE access to independent inspectors and, if necessary, the Ombudsman and access to the Ombudsman Compensation Fund to honour any awards made by the Ombudsman.
The DGCOS is the only scheme to give you this advanced level of protection and confidence. All of its members have had to go through a lengthy accreditation process and ensures that they are at the top of their industry. We feel that our customers deserve this level of protection and this undoubtedly instills even more confidence in our company.
