Selecting the right style of door to make that grand entrance or maximising security to the side or rear of your home is a major decision.
Virtually all shop fronts are made from aluminium because of the strength, durability and security it provides. We have combined this technology with the beauty of wood to provide a truly aesthetically pleasing residential application.
Traditional or very modern solutions can be obtained with a slim yet reassuringly solid and secure product. Inward or outward opening, French or single, folding or sliding - the choice is yours.
Composite Doors are the Future!
Composite doors and windows – they're the future. While PVC is nice enough, composite doors and windows from a number of UK manufacturers are increasingly being seen as an elegant and durable solution for today's style-conscious homes.
But when it comes to replacing your old doors with beautiful composite doors, which manufacturers offer the best solutions? With composite doors, elegance and durability are the key factors and at Ultraframe we take our duties as manufacturers of these lifestyle-enhancing products very seriously. The result is a fusion of elegant and durable powder-coated aluminium outside and beautiful ash hardwood inside.

With composite doors, manufacturers give you a virtually unlimited choice of colour and materials. Choose your timber finish for the inside or buy your composite doors pre-primed, ready to put your own decorative stamp on them.
Outside, we use powder-coated aluminium in a range of beautiful colours. We fit thermally efficient glass and you can even get self-cleaning Pilkington Activ glass for your composite doors.

Composite doors – security
Of course, another key factor when choosing composite-door manufacturers is security and, unlike some systems, Ultraframe's composite-door system is mainly aluminium. This provides strength and durability where it is needed – in the locking and hinge areas. There's also a PVC thermal break to stop moisture or condensation reaching the internal timber of your composite doors.
Unlike some composite-doors manufacturers, who use predominantly timber with a thin aluminium foil exterior, our doors are mainly aluminium, so that water can not come in to contact with the timber and lower the life expectancy of the door.
The timber becomes an integral part of the system prior to final assembly connects both materials independently, catering for any differences in expansion. Preformed insulated foam is inserted around the sections to provide a lower U-value (a measure of thermal performance) to help comply with Building Regulations and making your home as comfortable as possible. Timber Aluminium Composite Doors Technical Specification
Some so called 'alternative' systems are often predominant timber with a thin aluminium foil exterior which still allows water to come in contact with the timber, lowering the life expectancy of the window.
Unlike weaker alternatives, our system is mainly aluminium providing strength and durability where it is needed - in the locking and hinge areas. Any moisture or condensation reaching the glazing chamber cannot reach the internal timber due to the PVC thermal break. This thermal break limits cold air transferring to the timber and virtually eliminates any condensation forming.
Bi-folding Doors
What's all the fuss about bi-folding doors? Well, if you currently have French windows, you'll notice certain limitations – like when they're open you get only typically around 40% of the available wall opening access to the garden, deck or patio.
With Ultraframe's bi-folding doors, which some people call bi-fold doors, folding doors, concertina doors or multi-folding doors, you get an opening as large as 90%. The benefit of this is an outside space that's like an extra room on your house and an extra dimension to your home or business.
Bi-folding doors – affordable luxury
Ultraframe aluminium bi-folding doors, also known as folding-sliding doors, accordion or concertina patio doors, not only feature stunning design and affordable luxury but also fully retract, to offer wide access to your garden, conservatory or sun room. It's a lifestyle option that can't be matched by ordinary French windows or patio doors.Used internally, bi-folding doors can turn two rooms into one, create alternative or occasional spaces in your home giving your home or business maximum flexibility .
Space-saving bi fold doors
Made-to-measure, space-saving bi-folding doors from Ultraframe are long-lasting and weatherproof and close easily and quickly. Our bi-fold doors are manufactured using the best of two well known materials. We use powder coated and coloured aluminium externally and internally we use American white ash in a range of finishes.
